EACH & EVERY DETAIL

Stacey Williams - Summer 2017

My Experience at EED

I found the internship with Each and Every Detail simply through Google. I was so excited to hear back from them and get an interview right away. They are such sweet and fun people and welcomed me onto their team right away.

During my time here at EED I have learned so much about the event industry and have been educated on the wedding planning process. EED is very big on continuing their education every year and they definitely shared that with me throughout my internship. I was not just doing busy intern work but rather sitting in on meetings, going to vendor meetings, working weddings, and going to in-depth education discussions about each step of the planning process. I also got to work on a major project with my fellow intern creating a new sales consultation presentation that they will use in the future. We created a powerpoint formatted presentation with detail of the company, planners and the packages we provide. This helped me understand the business and services better and allowed me to gain some understanding in the marketing and sales portion of a business.

I have really learned how to work well with all different types of clients and vendors and how important it is to advocate for your clients.  We want to give our clients the key resources to create their dream wedding. We never say we will make the process stress free because that can not happen. Planning a wedding has so many steps that can cause stress that we as planners never touch, however we can ease the amount of stress for them.

I have loved my time here at EED and could not be more grateful for the experience that I have gained and the amount of things that I have learned that will push me ahead in my future in the industry.

If you're looking for an internship in the wedding planning field, I highly recommend checking EED out and sending them an email. They look for interns every quarter of the year to work for 3 months. (Aug-Nov, Nov-Feb, Feb-May, May-Aug) It is an un-paid internship located in McKinney and you are required to do at least 150 hours of office work (they will work with you for the extra hours needed for school courses) and you must have reliable transportation.
